Job Description:
Genesis DNA is building a truly next-generation gene synthesis platform, and we are seeking experienced, full-time biologists to join our start-up. Over the next 4 months, you will have the opportunity to join us in San Francisco for a fast-paced, high-energy accelerator with the goal of building a prototype that’s ready for venture financing in the spring. This is a chance to build a technology that can become part of a great business in a rapidly growing market. Compensation includes salary and equity packages, and the opportunity to grow into a lead position over time.
Experience with the following tasks is preferred, but curiosity and the ability to rapidly pick up new skills is best:
● Surface attachment protocols for oligonucleotides
● Design and analysis of DNA microarrays
● Optimizing physical parameters related to DNA hybridization
● High-throughput data analysis

Qualifications:
Applicants must have significant research experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, synthetic biology, or systems biology. The position will require working in a fast-paced, constantly-changing environment as we develop a full-scale gene synthesis platform. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly design and carry out experiments to meet development milestones, and have a high level of excitement for the project.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. or equivalent research experience.
