In-Country Program Manager (IPM) Job Opportunity

Description

Under general supervision, the In-Country Program Manager (IPM) oversees various aspects of the working relationship between Arizona State University (ASU) and the Higher Engineering Education Alliance Program (HEEAP) with academic, industry and government partners in Vietnam. This position will coordinate, manage and promote specific projects and programs for HEEAP. In addition to the continuous collaboration with academic and government partners to advance their engineering curricula, the IPM will be tasked with the expansion of the HEEAP industry partner base. The IPM will have a matrix reporting structure with direct reporting responsibilities to the ASU Manager for Global Partnerships in Tempe, Arizona and local supervision by the Managing Director of the ASU Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City.

Place of work:  the Representative Office of ASU in Ho Chi Minh City at Sacom Chipsang Office Building (SCS) Lot T2-4, D1 Road, National Highway 52, District 9 and other places as instructed by the Managing Director. While administrative activities will predominantly take place in the premises of the ASU Representative Office, the IPM may be requested to travel within Vietnam and abroad to meetings with academic, industry, and government partners, as may be required and/or as instructed by the Managing Director of ASU Representative Office in Vietnam.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Education, or a related field AND three years of related experience in a university/college setting, a non-governmental organization (NGO) or International Development organization; OR, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved. Full professional proficiency of the English language, both verbally and in writing.
